The Platform's Role and Limits of Liability
Effective date: 27/10/2026 · Version 2
1. The Platform’s role
Watchlabb provides a space for publishing watch listings and store information, for users to reach each other and for buyers and sellers to be matched through the methods offered on the Platform. In ordinary listing and auction transactions, unless it has expressly undertaken otherwise, Watchlabb is not the buyer or seller of the watch, a payment institution, an escrow account operator or a guarantor of the parties.
Platform services sold by Watchlabb, such as Doping, store plans and the auction PASS, and the buying and selling of watches between users are different relationships. The fact that no commission is charged on watch sales does not mean that paid platform services are also free of charge.
2. Limits of listings and verification
The member who posts the listing is responsible for giving accurate information about the details, photographs, originality, ownership, authority to sell, and known malfunctions and damage in the listing. The approval of a listing or the admission of a store to the Platform does not mean that Watchlabb has physically inspected the watch, that all documents have been definitively verified or that the transaction is guaranteed.
Identity and phone verification are checks for account security; they do not guarantee that the watch is original, not stolen or free from faults, or that the person will pay or hand the watch over. An ownership photograph is not an official determination of ownership either.
3. Auctions and the parties’ decisions
The auction system ranks bids according to the rules and matches the relevant persons. Determining the winner does not mean that Watchlabb guarantees the purchase, sale, collection of payment or hand-over. The reserve price, backup participants, seller blocking and the separate assessment of a low bid are subject to the relevant auction rules.
If a party withdraws or does not respond to communications, Watchlabb does not pay any amount it has not separately undertaken to pay, nor is it obliged to buy or sell the watch. Specific misuse may be reviewed with a view to restricting access to services under the relevant rules.
4. Trink Saat
In Trink Saat, Watchlabb coordinates, for the seller, the collection of offers from member stores, the presentation of the net amount and, on acceptance, the check, hand-over, payment and completion steps. The buyer of the watch is the relevant store. The pre-inspection report is a record of observations limited to its scope; it is not a brand service report, a conclusive certificate of originality or a guarantee of future operation.
The seller may withdraw from the sale until the full confirmed net amount has actually reached their own registered account. After full payment, the seller takes up any request to take the watch back, or for an agreed cancellation, with the buying store. The fact that a store does not make a purchase does not mean that Watchlabb assumes that store’s debt or offer. Watchlabb’s own safekeeping, hand-over and payment duties concerning the watch and money it has actually taken delivery of, however, continue under the relevant transaction terms.
5. Security, complaints and liability
The parties should check the watch, the person, the documents, the payee and the hand-over terms themselves. Do not send a deposit to people you do not know; do not make payment to the IBAN of an unrelated third party. Report suspicious content or conduct to the official support channel.
Watchlabb reviews unlawful or risky content and reports of misuse; where necessary, it may restrict publication or access to the relevant service and may cooperate with competent authorities within the framework of the legislation. This power is not a guarantee that every listing will be verified from start to finish or that all disputes will be resolved.
This information does not create a general exclusion of liability for Watchlabb’s own acts, the services it has expressly undertaken, its wilful misconduct, its gross negligence or liabilities that cannot be excluded by law, nor does it constitute a waiver of users’ mandatory rights. The relevant membership, platform, auction and Trink Saat terms apply within their own scope.
