Safe Buying and Selling

Effective date: 27/10/2026 · Version 1

Before the transaction

  • Examine the information and photographs in the listing carefully. Ask for appropriate documents and, where necessary, an independent expert inspection regarding originality, ownership, serial/reference number, condition and any significant faults and damage.

  • An identity verification badge, phone verification, an ownership photo or listing approval does not, on its own, guarantee that the watch and the transaction are safe.

  • Check that the person who says they are the owner or authorised seller of the watch is consistent with the person receiving the payment. Do not share other people’s identity or account details unnecessarily.

During payment

  • Do not send a deposit to someone you do not know without seeing the watch. If a request rushes you, offers a price far below the market or directs you to different people outside the Platform, stop the transaction and obtain confirmation.

  • Do not make payment to the IBAN of an unrelated third party on grounds such as “my relative’s account”. A correctly written IBAN is not conclusive proof that the account belongs to that person.

  • Do not rely on a payment receipt or screenshot alone; check with your bank that the payment has actually reached your own bank account.

  • Do not assume that there is a “secure payment”, “escrow account” or deposit service for listings and auctions that Watchlabb has not separately and expressly defined. The screen for purchasing Platform services and the payment of a watch’s price are different transactions.

Message and account security

  • Do not share your password, one-time login/verification code, card security code or recovery information.

  • The use of Watchlabb’s name, logo or profile picture does not on its own prove that a message is genuine. If in doubt, open the support line yourself through the official website.

  • If you have set up your Watchlabb signature code, check for the signature you chose yourself in WhatsApp notifications where this feature is used. The signature is an additional security marker; it does not rule out your account being taken over or every possibility of fraud. If the code is missing or different, take no action and obtain confirmation from support.

  • A reply from the support assistant does not validate a request from a suspicious person asking you for sensitive information. If an AI reply contains an error or leaves you in doubt, ask for a review by the team.

Hand-over and Trink Saat

At hand-over, compare the watch, its box, documents and accessories with the information and photos in the listing. Agree clearly on the order of payment and hand-over. Do not assume a different arrangement, such as shipping or hand-over to a third party, without written confirmation.

In Trink Saat, proceed only through the inspection centre, hand-over and payment route notified to you. The seller’s payment account must be in the seller’s own name; in business transactions where required, the account and trade name are separately confirmed. Read the scope of the pre-inspection report; this report does not mean that all hidden faults have been investigated or that the sale is guaranteed.

If something seems suspicious

Keep the listing/transaction number and the related messages and payment records, and report the matter to destek@watchlabb.com. If you have sent money, speak to your bank without delay; where a crime is suspected, exercise your right to apply to the competent authorities. Watchlabb may assess the necessary platform records within the scope of lawful requests; it does not undertake that a loss will necessarily be made good or that the other party will take action.
